Alison is the Founder & Senior Educational Consultant of Hummingbird Learning Group. She is a passionate & visionary educational leader with over 20 years of experience serving in education.

She recently completed her doctorate in K-12 Educational Leadership at the USC Rossier School of Education. Alison received her Bachelor’s degree in East Asian Languages & Cultures with an emphasis in Korean studies from the University of Southern California. She also holds a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in teaching from Alliant International University and a Master’s Degree in K-12 Educational Leadership from California State University, Northridge. She became a National Board Certified - Exceptional Needs Specialist Teacher (Birth-22) through Stanford University’s National Board Resource Center, while concurrently clearing her Administrative Services Credential through the University of California, Berkeley, Leadership Support Program.

Alison is passionate about being an advocate for children and families with exceptionalities. She is bilingual Spanish/English and enjoys knitting, deep sea fishing, traveling & cooking.

 

Dr. Tricia Kling

CEO & Director of Psychological Services

Tricia is the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Psychological Services at Hummingbird Learning Group. She is extremely committed to and passionate about building capacity of schools to prevent problematic behaviors, promote positive school cultures, and evaluate the impact on the both social and academic success of all youth, ranging from lowest to the highest levels of need at all grade levels (preschool through college).

She recently completed her doctorate in K-12 Educational Leadership, with a concentration on Educational Psychology, at the USC Rossier School of Education. Tricia received her Bachelor’s degrees in Liberal Studies & Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and her Master’s degree in Counseling from California State University Long Beach. She also holds a Clear Multiple Subject Teaching Credential along with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential, with authorizations in School Counseling and School Psychology. Lastly, Tricia is also a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) with over 30 years experience in the fields of education and counseling.

Tricia is passionate about creating cultures of resilience and empowering students of all ages, stages and abilities, specifically through social-emotional literacy which lays the foundation for academic and behavioral success. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, volunteering and spending time with her children.
